We are currently recruiting for a Conveyancing Assistant/Paralegal within our Residential Conveyancing Team at our friendly office located in Todmorden.
The role will include: –
- Providing quotes to clients using our online portal.
- Opening and closing files using the case management system.
- Corresponding with estate agents, other solicitors, mortgage brokers and clients.
- Preparing the contract pack on a sale transaction.
- Drafting SDLT returns.
- Dealing with post-completion on purchase transactions such as drafting the AP1, dealing with requisitions and sending out notice of transfers/charge etc.
- Conducting legal research.
- All areas concerned with Residential Conveyancing, assisting Fee Earner with letters and telephone calls, using online portals and a case management system.
Essentials
- Previous experience of Case Management systems.
- Some experience of client contact in person and by telephone.
- The ability to build positive relationships and a passion for providing outstanding customer service.
- A high level of attention to detail.
- The ability to prioritise and manage your own workload, good time management, organisation and admin skills.
- Self-sufficiency in typing and use of standard IT systems (Word, Excel etc).
Formal qualification is not required but the ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience and knowledge in all the above areas.
Salary dependent on experience.
Support and training will be provided to enhance and develop the successful candidate’s skills as the role progresses.
This is a brilliant opportunity for a candidate who already has a background in Conveyancing and is capable of delivering basic services with minimal supervision and those that want to further enhance their knowledge, experience and skills in Conveyancing.
